Our Vision Formulating

Established 2023

Alder Grove Retreat came about from our personal goal to create a quiet off-grid place to listen to the wind, unplug from the city and be able to enjoy the wildlife, lake, rivers, hiking, mountain, and ALL the things to do and see nearby.

What we created far exceeded our hopes and this area is just too wonderful not to share with others.

Property Features

Eagle View
Cabin

Our first off-grid structure. Small, feature filled, with a NW view above the tree-tops. A perfect getaway for two.

Wood Fired
Sauna

Guests can book a wood fired sauna with a cold water shower plunge. Great for after-hike relaxation.

Hill-Top
Hangout

The property sits on 6.5 sloped acres and features a shaded area at the top of the hill to enjoy the
NW view.

Mt. Rainier

We are verified as being 30 minutes or less to the entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park's SE Entrance.
(Paradise 1hr)

Alder Lake

The first stop of Tahoma's Nisqually River. It's 5 minutes to the public beach, boat launch, and views of the mountain.

Less than
90min. from Seattle

We like to say: "We are as close to far away as you can get!"

Photography

Plants and animals abound. Photo opportunities are not limited. Free stay for the first person who can get a picture of Tater our resident mountain beaver.

Hiking

Rainier sure. However, also close are waterfalls, old-growth, horse trails, train rides, maybe even a sasquatch sighting.
